An apparatus and a method for compensating inverter switching frequency in an LCD panel are provided to decrease the interference of image frequency, by using the multiple frequency of the image frequency as the inverter switching frequency. A frequency generator(220) outputs inverter switching frequency to a high-frequency switching unit(130) for generating inverter voltage. A DC level detector(231) detects the voltage of output frequency outputted from the frequency generator. A CPU(230) receives the output of the DC level detector to detect the variation of the inverter switching frequency, thereby outputting control signal for correcting inverter switching frequency according to the detected variation. A switching controller(250) corrects the output frequency of the frequency generator according to the output of the CPU. |
