Two shaft ends (10, 20) that are interlinked so as to transmit torques and so as to be axially displaced, twisted and bent relative each other to a limited degree can be mutually centered by means of a ball joint bearing (40). Said bearing (40) is composed of a bearing outer ring (50) having an outer surface (54) for its installation in a bearing housing (42) and a spherical inner surface (56), and a bearing inner ring (60) having a spherical outer surface (66) with which it rests on the inner surface (56) of the bearing outer ring (50), and a central seat (65) for receiving a structural component (36). The bearing inner ring (60), in an initial position of the bearing (40), is disposed coaxially relative to the bearing outer ring (50). There is an additional connection between the two bearing rings (50, 60) which maintains the coaxial arrangement of the bearing inner ring (60) with the bearing outer ring (50) for a post-treatment of the center guide (64) and/or for a first-time installation of the bearing (40). This additional connection is configured in such a way that it is destroyed once the bearing rings (50, 60) are deflected relative each other under working conditions. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
