A foldable carrier 10 that has particular application to vehicles, but may also be used in static situations, is disclosed. The carrier includes a floor 14 and side members 12, all being movably coupled to a mounting frame 11. Connecting means 20, 21 enable the side walls to be connected to the floor to retain the floor in an in-use position, while retention means are provided to fold the floor and side members in a compacted state.
