An air conditioner is provided to prevent cold gas introduced into a casing from being mixed with hot gas in the casing to reduce a specific volume of the introduced gas for improving compression efficiency and preventing abrasion of a gas guide pipe. An air conditioner includes a casing(210) coupled with a suction pipe(220), a muffler(60) positioned in the casing and connected to a cylinder compressing gas, and a gas guide pipe(230) provided between the casing and the muffler to guide gas introduced via the suction pipe into the muffler. An abrasion preventing element(240) is provided to the gas guide pipe for preventing abrasion by friction between the gas guide pipe and an inner wall of the casing. The abrasion preventing element is formed of an annular curved surface part(241) and an annular plane surface part(242) extended from an outer periphery of the annular curved surface part annularly.
