A functional and constructional material comprising charcoal, loess and/or jade fine powder is provided to have far-infrared ray radiation, water absorption and deodorization effects and to express strength sufficient to interior or exterior building materials by mixing MgO, gypsum and gelatine solution with charcoal, loess and jade/or fine powder then forming the mixture into the constructional material. The functional and constructional material is produced by the steps of: adding 10 to 50wt. parts of magnesium oxide and 5 to 10wt. parts of gypsum to 100wt. parts of natural material to form a mixture; preparing a gelatine solution with 3 to 20wt.% of concentration; introducing 10 to 100wt. parts of the gelatine solution to the mixture and uniformly blending the mixture; compression molding the blend; and drying the molded product. The natural material is at least one selected from charcoal, loess and jade. The produced constructional material is tile, board or brick.
