A text editing method in a mobile terminal is provided to easily execute text deletion and input by easily shifting the cursor through the input of cursor shift keys and the input of numeric keys in text editing. A control part in a mobile terminal judges whether a cursor shift key is inputted(305). If a cursor shift key is inputted, the control part confirms whether a numeric key is inputted(310). In case that a numeric key is inputted, the control part confirms the direction of the inputted cursor shift key(320). Then the control part confirms the digit of the numeric key inputted after the input of the cursor shift key(325). The control part judges whether the deletion key is inputted(330). In case that the deletion key is inputted, the control part deletes the letter displayed at the present position of the cursor(335). The control part puts the cursor at the place where the deleted letter was displayed(340).
