Disclosed is a thickener for thermoplastic polyester resins which is obtained by coating 100 parts by weight of polymer particles produced by suspension polymerization and having a glass transition temperature of not less than 60‹C and a volume mean diameter of 50-500 mum with 0.5-30 parts by weight of an emulsion polymer produced by emulsion polymerization. Such a thickener for thermoplastic polyester resins is characterized in that the polymer particles produced by suspension polymerization are reactive with thermoplastic polyester resins.
