Disclosed is a lyophilized pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of Formula I wherein M+ is Na+, Li+ or K+ and a preservative selected from methyl and propyl parabens, wherein the composition has a solution pH in the range of 6.0 to 7.5. Also disclosed is the use of this composition for treating bacterial infection in cats and dogs.
