摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a cellulose acylate film having a small optical anisotropy (Re, Rth), being substantially optically isotropic at high productivity and at a low cost and to provide the cellulose acylate film with characteristics described above by overcoming a disadvantage in poor dissolution of the cellulose acylate film with a high degree of substitution and with less luminescent spots by a foreign material. <P>SOLUTION: The cellulose acylate film is produced by casting a solution of the cellulose acylate having an acyl substitution degree from 2.85 to 3.00 dissolved in an organic solvent onto an endless metal support, cooling the solution at 0&deg;C to minus 50&deg;C to effect gelation, so as to form a film, peeling the film off from the endless metal support and drying the film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
