PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle body for improving the assembling accuracy of a throttle member while applying to a plurality of types having different requirements for the amount of intake air. SOLUTION: The throttle body 1 comprises a body part 3 forming an intake passage 4, and a throttle valve 20 for opening/closing the intake passage 4. In the body part 3, selective one of a plurality of types of throttle members 50 is incorporated for restricting the amount of intake air flowing in the intake passage 4, as predetermined. The throttle member 50 is pressed and incorporated in the body 3. A fitting recessed portion 45 of the body part 3 into which the throttle member 50 is pressed is set at a high-rigidity site of the body part 3. The throttle member 50 has a ring-shaped funnel portion 56 whose bore is gradually smaller as tending from the intake upstream side to the downstream side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
