PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a structure capable of preventing wear of a backup surface even when the hardness of the backup surface of a raceway 12a constituting a thrust needle bearing is low. SOLUTION: The thrust needle bearing is provided between a pair of planes parallel with each other in such a state that a portion on the opposite side to a thrust raceway surface 14 out of an axial other side face of the raceway 12a abuts on a plane facing the raceway 12a over the whole surface. The relative rotation of a pair of members provided at both planes is permitted while supporting thrust load applied between both members. In such a structure, the thickness T of the raceway 12a is set to 0.5 times or more of a diameter Da of each needle 10.
