PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an electric joint against damage due to a load which is applied when an electrode terminal on a recording element substrate is connected electrically with the lead terminal of an electric wiring member in an ink jet recording head comprising the recording element substrate provided with an element generating energy for ejecting ink and the electric wiring member for transmitting the driving signal of the element. SOLUTION: At the edge of the upper surface of an electrode terminal H1105 connected with a lead terminal H1301, a buffer layer H1111 composed of thermosetting resin is arranged.
