PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To polish a lens with high accuracy, even if the lens is micro-sized, by surely pressing the lens on a polishing grinding tool not only with high pressure but also with low pressure. SOLUTION: This lens pressurizing device 3 adjusts surface roughness of the lens R by pressing the lens R on the rotating polishing grinding tool by prescribed pressure. The device 3 is provided with a cylinder 33 having a cylinder case 30, a piston 31 moving in an axis L direction in the cylinder case 30, and a piston rod 32 for pressing the lens R by a distal end at the outside of the cylinder case 30 according to the moving of the piston 31, a pressure adjusting means 36 for adjusting moving amount of the piston 31 by making compressed air of prescribed pressure flow in pressure chambers 34 and 35 surrounded by the piston 31 and the cylinder case 30, and a rotation means 37 for rotating the piston 31 around the axis L. An outer peripheral surface 31a of the piston 31 and an inner peripheral surface 30a of the cylinder case 30 are made into a proximity state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
