PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood purifier, wherein a large membrane area can be obtained, a film mass transfer coefficient is high, channeling of a dialysate is controlled, and internal filtration can be enhanced while keeping high safety. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a external perfusion based blood purifier, wherein, in a blood purifier including a hollow fiber film, blood passes outside of the hollow fiber film, the dialysate passes inside of the hollow fiber film, and when the blood is filtrated through the hollow fiber film, a filtration coefficient in the case that the blood is filtrated from the outside to the inside of the hollow fiber film is higher than that in the case that the blood is filtrated from the inside to the outside of the hollow fiber film.
