PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely use an existing/general-purpose capsule type endoscope for the alimentary canal or the like as a body cavity indwelling device for monitoring the body cavity. SOLUTION: This indwelling device for the capsule type medical apparatus is provided with a locking part 203 for fixing a capsule type endoscope 300 to the tissue in the body cavity, and a retaining part 202 mounting and retaining the capsule type endoscope 300, so that the capsule type endoscope 300 and the locking part 203 can be integrated together by just mounting and retaining the capsule type endoscope 300 to the retaining part 202. The rest is that the locking part 203 is fixed to the tissue in the body cavity at an intended site in the body cavity by an endoscopic treatment, and the capsule type endoscope 3 can be indwelled along with the retaining part 202. This constitution can simply and surely use the existing/general-purpose capsule type endoscope 300 for the alimentary canal or the like as the body cavity indwelling device for monitoring the body cavity.
