PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diet appliance and its usage capable of surely executing a diet restriction. SOLUTION: Plates 6 are installed on the upper/lower teeth of a dieted person by adhesion, and the interval between pins 7 embedded in the plates 6 are locked with locking members 8 having elasticity to make the dieted person scarcely open the mouth. That is to say, the length and the elasticity of the locking member 8 is set to such extents that even if the locking member 8 is extended to the maximum, the dieted person neither put foods in the mouth nor masticate them, so that the dieted person cannot take the foods. However, the locking member 8 has the elasticity to allow some extent of extension and contraction, so as to open the lips and take the fluid diet for supplementing the moisture and nutrition.
