PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging element package for an electronic endoscope with such an excellent durability against the change of the external pressure that a package housing is not deformed by the difference between the internal and external pressures of the package housing inside a sterilization device. SOLUTION: A housing reinforcing member 20, which is formed to have such strength that the package housing is not deformed even if the force exceeding the deformation resistant strength of the package housing 13 is applied, is disposed along the inner surface of the package housing 13, so that the package housing 13 is not deformed even if the force exceeding the deformation resistant strength of the package housing 13 is applied.
