PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a phospholipid composition containing phosphatidylinositol and a phospholipid such as phosphatidylserine obtained by a base exchange reaction at high concentrations. SOLUTION: The phospholipid composition is produced by stirring a phospholipid containing at least one of phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine in an amount of≥30 wt.% in total and phosphatidylinositol in an amount of≥10 wt.% in a binary phase system composed of an organic solvent and water, adding a compound containing hydroxyl group and phospholipase D and carrying out the base exchange reaction of at least one kind of phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine.
