METHOD FOR ASSAYING CHOLESTEROL IN REMNANT-LIKE LIPOPROTEIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assaying cholesterol in remnant-like lipoprotein in a sample by a simpler operation and in high sensitivity and to obtain an assaying reagent. SOLUTION: In the method for assaying cholesterol in lipoprotein by letting cholesterol esterase and cholesterol oxidase or cholesterol dehydrogenase act on a lipoprotein-containing test sample and assaying hydrogen peroxide or a reduced type coenzyme formed by an enzyme reaction, the method for assaying cholesterol in remnant-like lipoprotein comprises adding a surfactant having a benzenesulfonic acid structure or its salt in a molecule to the test sample. The reagent for assaying cholesterol in remnant-like lipoprotein comprises cholesterol esterase and cholesterol oxidase or cholesterol dehydrogenase and a surfactant having a benzene sulfonic acid structure or its salt in a molecule.
