Disclosed is a method for manufacturing an electrochemical cell comprising the following steps. Step A wherein a counter electrode film (1) and a mold film (2) are compression bonded; Step B wherein a sol-like gel precursor (8) is introduced into a hole of the mold film (2) arranged on the counter electrode film (1); Step C wherein the sol-like gel precursor (8) is cooled to a semi-cured gel; Step D wherein the mold film (2) is separated from the counter electrode film (1); Step E wherein the semi-cured gel is cooled, thereby forming a gel electrolyte membrane; Step F wherein a sealing film (6) is arranged on the counter electrode film (1) so that a hole of the sealing film (6) corresponds to the gel electrolyte membrane; Step G wherein a working electrode film (7) is compression-bonded to the sealing film (6); Step H wherein the films arranged in layers are thermally compression-bonded together; and Step I wherein a single electrochemical cell is obtained by cutting. In this connection, the working electrode film (7) and the counter electrode film (1) have flexibility.
