MOLDING MACHINE CONTROL UNIT AND METHOD OF MOLDING WITH USE OF MOLDING MACHINE EQUIPPED WITH THE UNIT

A molding machine control unit that at the time of continuous operation of molding machine while a post-process machine is in rest, attains reduction of power consumption and that in subsequent molding, avoids deterioration of molded item quality; and a method of molding with the use of a molding machine equipped with the unit. There is provided an apparatus including an injection unit equipped with an injection nozzle; a metal mold unit; a mold fastening unit; a plasticization transfer unit; mode setting means for setting either normal mode of operating the molding machine according to normal molding cycle on the basis of the condition of post-process machine, or cycle extension mode of operating the molding machine according to a molding cycle longer than that of the normal mode; and cycle extension means for attaining extension of the molding cycle by upon setting of the cycle extension mode, extending the period of time from start of plasticization retrogression to completion of plasticization advancement over that upon setting of the normal mode.
