The shredder comprises a cutting rack, a sliding cutting plate which is a centimetre thick, a cross cutter as well as a pressing plate. The back part of the rack is closed by a plate which prevents the rubbish which is thrown into the chute (1) from falling uncut into the refuse container (3) below. Transverse blocks with integrated screw cutters break down bulky items such as boxes, bottles and cans.
