The modular production line has agent based data output for operating centres (1a-5d) which operate in clusters. There is a transporter (7) with individual handling stations (24-26) placed succesively. The feed of work to the operating centres and the work feed is controlled by a central control (36). The multiple operating centres are provided for each working stage and each has a working cluster (1-5).
