The device for welding thermoplastic synthetic materials, especially film strips, includes a jaw component (1) with at least sealing surface (5) and a heating device (6), wherein an insert (10) upon which is provided the sealing surface is exchangeable for a similar type of insert with a different sealing surface, or an insert with a special coating, especially an anti-adhesion coating. The heating device is integrated in the insert.
