A mobile terminal with a multi-purpose side key is provided to solve a problem of the related art that a functional side key formed on the side of a main body leads to adding of a component and making it difficult to apply an exterior design. A main body(2) includes a plurality of input keys. A side key(10) includes three switching units which are provided at the side of the main body(2) and transfer a signal by being contacted in each different direction. The side key includes a key frame buried at the side of the main body(2) and a key manipulation unit combined with the key frame, pressed with respect to the key frame or elastically moved up and down in a lengthwise direction of the key frame. |
