VIRTUAL STORAGE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGEMENTING VIRTUAL STORAGE BASED ON AD-HOC NETWORK

A virtual storage system and a virtual storage management method based on the ad-hoc network are provided to use storage devices mounted to a device including an ad-hoc network based UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) technology as one virtual storage, and store, update, delete, and read a specific file to the virtual storage of the virtual storage system. Multiple devices(120) are present in the network. A virtual storage management server(100) constructs the storage devices mounted to the devices as one virtual storage and manages the virtual storage. A database server(110) stores and manages information for the files stored in the storage device of each device forming the virtual storage constructed by the virtual storage management server. Each device includes a storage node program(122) for storing/managing the data received from the virtual storage management server to own storage device and a user program(124) to use the virtual storage of the virtual storage management server, and uses the storage devices mounted to the devices as one virtual storage by executing the programs.
