<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack which effectively prevents supercooling of the secondary battery used in cold climates and has a small outer size and a tough structure. <P>SOLUTION: In the battery pack; a plurality of secondary cells 1 are housed in a plastic-made inner case 3 to make an inner pack 4, the outer side of the inner pack 4 is covered with and reinforced by a metal chassis 16, and the inner case 3 is housed in a plastic-made outer case 5. The outer case 5 is divided into a pair of cylindrical cases 5A with a face perpendicular to the longitudinal direction as a division line 15. One end of the cylindrical case 5A is closed with an end plate 5c, and the other end thereof has an opening 5f. The pair of cylindrical cases 5A are each fixed to the metal chassis 16 through the end plate 5c with set screws 36. The metal chassis 16 has tapped holes 18. The cylindrical cases 5A are fixed to the metal chassis 16 by the set screws 36 screwed in the tapped holes 18, thereby hermetically connecting the openings of the pair of cylindrical cases 5A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
