<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro-particle dispersion controlling the particle diameter and viscosity within desired ranges under relatively mild stirring conditions and stably forming high-quality ink receiving layer and to provide a medium which is to be recorded and has suppressed irritant odor (or an unpleasant odor) emitted in recording an image and bleeding of the image under high temperature and humidity by forming the ink receiving layer using the dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: At least one kind of polymer selected from an alkylamine-epihalohydrin copolymer, a dicyandiamide, an allylamine or an acrylic polymer and acetic acid are used when the micro-particle dispersion comprising inorganic micro-particles dispersed in an aqueous solvent is prepared.
