<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the wiring of a detection sensor can be easily set so as to cope with unitization of devices and simultaneously the opening and closing of a cover can be accurately detected. <P>SOLUTION: A paper ejection roller reversing mechanism 5 is assembled in an apparatus main body so as to be adjacent to the locking lever 40 of a jam processing cover mechanism 4. An operation member 50 is pivotally supported to be freely rotatable on the side surface of the paper ejection roller reversing mechanism 5 and is held in a position where the operation member 50 is pressed by the locking lever 40 and rotated counterclockwise. An operation part 50d is formed at the top end of the operation member 50 and inserted into a cover opening and closing detection sensor 60, to detect that the cover is in a close state. When the jam processing cover mechanism 4 is open and the locking lever 40 is retreated, the operation member 50 is rotated by its own weight and the operation part 50d is disengaged from the cover opening and closing detection sensor 60, to detect that the cover is in an open state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
