PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for scientific appraisal money to identify forged money, falsified money, and defective money more reliably, to protect asset value of money for collection, and to attain appropriate circulation of the money for collection. SOLUTION: In the system for scientific appraisal of money, intellectual judgement information for deciding truth is obtained from statistic processing and numerical value analytic processing of money to be appraised on the basis of a variety of objective database information, including: scientific measurement information consisting of element component information near a surface of the money to be appraised, state information, and the like, measured under non-contact/non-destruction condition; database information about money stamping prepared for a whole group of money to be appraised; and database information about money components. The validity is verified from various aspects with respect to a variety of components comprising the money to be appraised, thereby a conclusion for the truth decision or goodness decision is derived.
