PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping material equipped with an excellent damping property and light weight property, especially suitably used for the uses requiring the light weight property. SOLUTION: This damping material characterized by laminating a foamed adhesive layer on one side surface of a non-metal sheet having 100-100,000 MPa Young's modulus as one unit is provided by having the light weight and excellent damping property and used suitably for vehicle use such as an automobile, a railway, etc. Also since it has the light weight, it is excellent in execution workability, and further since it does not contain a metallic material or an inorganic filler, classification in its abandoning is easy and also it is easily treated by an incineration treatment since the generation of ash content on incineration is less.
