A composition for producing a flame-retardant and heat-shrinkable tube is provided to produce non-halogen or low-halogen products having sufficient mechanical properties and flame retardancy and to exhibit good die drool characteristics upon tube extrusion. The composition for producing a flame-retardant and heat-shrinkable tube comprises 100 parts by weight of a base resin, 30-350 parts by weight of a metal hydroxide flame retardant surface-treated with stearic acid, and 0.05-5 parts by weight of a fluorinated processing additive. The base resin is any one mixed resin selected from a first mixed resin obtained by blending 5-100 parts by weight of an ethylene vinylacetate copolymer resin having a vinylacetate(VA) content of 12-18wt% with 5-100 parts by weight of ethylene vinylacetate copolymer resin having a VA content of 18-27wt%, a second mixed resin obtained by blending 5-100 parts by weight of an ethylene vinylacetate copolymer resin having a VA content of 12-18wt% with 5-30 parts by weight of a modified ethylene vinylacetate copolymer resin containing maleic anhydride, and a third mixed resin obtained by blending 5-100 parts by weight of an ethylene vinylacetate copolymer resin having a VA content of 18-27wt% with 5-30 parts by weight of a modified ethylene vinylacetate copolymer resin containing maleic anhydride. |
