An apparatus for controlling a digital broadcasting signal having component input/output separated from a screen is provided to display the digital broadcasting signal through an analog receiver as well as a digital receiver by inter-linking the analog receiver and the digital receiver having the component input/output, thereby enabling a user to independently watch broadcasting through a monitor differentiated from monitor output through which the user can watch only a screen displayed on an existing digital television set. An apparatus for controlling a digital broadcasting signal having component input/output separated from a screen comprises the followings: a digital receiver(1) which receives the digital broadcasting signal and is capable of dividing one display screen(14) into a main screen and a sub screen to display the received digital broadcasting signal; a component signal output unit(17) which decodes the digital broadcasting signal displayed on the sub screen, and outputs the decoded digital broadcasting signal as a component signal; an analog receiver(2) which is connected with the component signal output unit(17) to receive the component signal, and displays the inputted component signal on a screen independent of the display screen(14) of the digital receiver(1); and an infrared sensor(21) which is installed to be attached to or detached from an input terminal of the analog receiver(2), and senses operation of an external remote controller.
