<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a paste for a color filter efficiently and finely dispersing a pigment, preventing reaggregation of the pigment and resultantly affording the color filter having high transmittance, contrast and surface smoothness with high productivity. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing a pigment dispersion comprises a plurality of dispersion steps of dispersing the pigment in a solvent with a media stirring type disperser having media and a dispersion treating tank. In the method for producing the pigment dispersion,ϕ(1)/ϕ(2) is≥4 to≤40 andϕ(2) is≤0.1 mm when the average particle diameter of the media used in the first dispersion step isϕ(1) (mm) and the average particle diameter of the media used in the second dispersion step isϕ(2) (mm). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
