REINFORCING MATERIAL FOR FLEXIBLE PRINTED WIRING BOARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing material for a flexible printed wiring board, hardly causing powder fall from a processed cross section after stamping, and having high mechanical strength and good warp characteristics. SOLUTION: The reinforcing material for the flexible printed wiring board is obtained by subjecting a prepreg obtained by impregnating a fibrous base material with a thermosetting resin to heat- and pressure-forming. The fibrous base material is obtained by using an aramid nonwoven fabric, and an epoxy resin having flexibility when cured is used as the thermosetting resin. A polyester nonwoven fabric consisting essentially of a whole aromatic polyester fiber can be used instead of the aramid nonwoven fabric. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
