PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently process image data having position information embedded therein, with a high image quality. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes an image processing selection means for selecting means and parameters of image processing for image data, an output image data generation means 23 for generating output image data using means and parameters of image processing selected by the image processing selection means 22, a position code generation means 24 for generating position code image data on the basis of information to be embedded into the output image data, and an image data combining means 25 for combining the output image data and the position code image data.
