SHUTTLE CONTROL METHOD FOR PRINTER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable shuttle drive of a printer having a crank system shuttle mechanism comprising a stepping motor, dispensing with an expensive stepping motor and without lowering the reliability of the printer. SOLUTION: In the printer having a hammer bank loading a plurality of printing elements and the crank system shuttle mechanism comprising the stepping motor reciprocating the hammer bank, shuttle run-in operation in initializing action is performed in all the shuttle speed modes set to the printer to select a drivable shuttle speed from among the shuttle speed modes according to the existence of the step-out of the stepping motor.
