PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for applying a chemical, whereby a chemical is gradually, stably, and uniformly released to a wide surface range to which the chemical is applied throughout an application period ranging from the beginning to the end. SOLUTION: The material for applying a chemical of the present invention is provided with a storage body which encapsulates a chemical and enables its release and a fiber sheet for absorbing the chemical released from the storage body and applying the absorbed chemical to an application subject. The storage body and the fiber sheet are layered in advance so that they are at least partially joined together for use. Alternatively they are layered upon application of the chemical to an application subject. The fiber sheet contains a hydrophilic fiber and polyvinylalcohol. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
