PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production system using a cigarette producing machine connected to a packer. SOLUTION: The temporarily surplus cigarettes 2 are stored in containers 3 and each container is provided with an opening 11 through which the container is filled or emptied. The full container 3 is picked up from a magazine 31 with a first arm 57 and overturned above a carrying surface 51a advancing in the feeding direction X. Thereby, the opening 11 is directed downward and the cigarettes 2 can be dropped onto the carrying surface 51a. In a step of unloading the cigarettes 2, the container 3 is engaged with a hopper 78 and crosses from a first station 79 toward a second station 80 in the direction Y parallel to the feeding direction X of the carrying surface 51a. As a result, the cigarettes 2 are more quickly released from the container 3. Furthermore, the container 3 is picked up from the second station with a second arm 67 when emptied and pushed together with other empty containers 3 into a magazine 27. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
