PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt plug resistant to disengagement even in the use over a long period by applying a simple modification to a rod-side screw formed at the rod butt end of a rod member or a butt-side screw formed at the butt plug side. SOLUTION: A butt plug 3 is screwed to the butt end opening of a butt section rod 1, and a plug-side screw 3a of the butt plug 3 is made to be engageable with the rod-side screw 1a of the rod butt 1A. An elastic sheet 9 having large frictional resistance is placed in the wall of the butt end part 1A of the butt section rod 1. A screw 1a for attaching the butt plug is threaded on the thick-wall part, and the tooth bottom part of the screw 1a reaches the elastic sheet 9 to form a part of the screw on the elastic sheet 9.
