The invention relates to a mechanism for protecting car parking spaces. The inventive mechanism comprises: supports that are formed by a structure which is fixed at the upper inner part thereof; and a transmission motor, with an endless screw added vertically to the transmission in order to move a lifting bar vertically such as to provide or prevent access to the vehicle. The aforementioned supports are each protected by casings which are in turn equipped with an opening in one of the sides thereof. According to the invention, when the supports are positioned in the mechanism, the openings are exposed to one another such as to serve as guides and to enable the lifting bar to move vertically. The invention also comprises a rectangular platform which is housed in the lower part of the supports and which serves as a ramp for the tyres of the vehicle, the sides thereof being inclined by 45°.
