<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a library apparatus which achieve robot exchange in an active state. <P>SOLUTION: The library apparatus 6 stores a recording medium (cartridge 10) to/from which information is written/read by a host computer 4. The library apparatus comprises a plurality of robot units 161 and 162 for carrying the recording medium, and a control unit (library control unit 24) for, when an event occurs, stopping supply of electricity to the robot units until a time for processing the event or a predetermined time period elapses, and issuing a response indicating that the event is being processed, in response to an inquiry from the host computer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
