PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact device capable of electrically connecting a contact terminal of the ink cartridge side with a connector part of the recording device side without fail, when an ink cartridge is loaded. SOLUTION: This contact device comprises a holder part 204 which holds a connector part 203 capable of being connected with an electric contact terminal part 202 and can be transferred to a recording device. In addition, the contact device comprises a relative positioning means 210 which decides a relative position between the ink cartridge 11 and the holder part 204 by transferring the holder part 204 in the ink cartridge 11 loading direction (a Y axis direction) after the ink cartridge 11 comes into contact with the holder part 204, when the ink cartridge 11 is loaded.
