PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing a stator where the step for shaping a core, such that the teeth portion is located on the radial inside, can be facilitated. SOLUTION: A core 6 is formed into an annular shape, while directing the teeth portions 8a-8l directed radially outward. When a pin is taken out from a pin insertion hole, a split core portion 13, having the teeth portion 8a, is separated from a split core portion 13 having the teeth portion 8l. The split core portion 13, having the teeth portion 8l, is supported to rotate integrally with a winding portion 213, while directing the tip end of the teeth portion 8l directed toward the inside of the winding portion 213. The winding portion 213 is made to rotate about the center line L2 as the axis of rotation, and the core 6 is rounded, while directing the teeth portion 8a radially inward by winding a plurality of split core portions 13 around the winding portion 213.
