PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a sense of incongruity caused by the posture change in the pitching direction. SOLUTION: A vehicle is stopped by an automatic brake, and then, a parking brake is acted. At a point of time when the vehicle is stopped (both of steps S3 and S5; Yes), the direction of the posture change associated with release of front wheel braking force and the pitching behavior after stopping of the vehicle are predicted (steps S13 and S14), and the front wheel braking force is released when pitching after stopping of the vehicle is in the opposite direction from the posture change associated with release of the front wheel braking force. Concretely, a point of time t<SB>s</SB>when pitching after the vehicle stop is in the opposite direction from the posture change associated with release of the front wheel braking force to the maximum is calculated (step S16), releasing of the front wheel braking force is started after the point of time t<SB>s</SB>, and a release speed V<SB>R</SB>of the front wheel braking force is higher as the pitch speed after the vehicle stop is higher (step S19a).
