PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide type console box allowing its selective use by an occupant seated on the front or the rear seat and capable of making walk-through between the independent seats on the left and right of the front seat. SOLUTION: The console box 7 is installed between the independent seats on the left and right of the forefront seat 2 and arranged slidable backward to the second row seat 3 consisting in a bench seat. The console box 7 is equipped with a base part 10 extending in the vertical direction, a console upper part 11 extending backward from the top of the base part 10, and a console lower part 12 extending backward from the bottom of the base part 10, in which when the console box 7 is slid backward, the console upper part 11 takes the condition having intruded backward from the front extremity of the seat cushion 3a of the second row seat 3.
