PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical screw pump formed in a vertical fashion with a small plane occupied area for easy maintenance. SOLUTION: The screw pump of a two-shaft linkage type comprises a main shaft 3 and a sub-shaft 4 vertically provided, self-priming rotors 9, 10 provided on the lower parts of the shafts 3, 4, respectively, timing gears 7, 8 provided on the outer peripheries of the shafts 3, 4, respectively, in engagement with each other for rotatably supporting the shafts 3, 4 at their upper parts, an upper case 2 supporting journal portions and covering the journal portions and the timing gears 7, 8, and a lower case 1 covering shaft portions having the rotors 9, 10 and having liquid suction and discharge ports. The upper case 2 and the lower case 1 are detachably connected and fixed to each other with a bolt-nut threading structure. Lubricating oil is sprayed to the timing gears 7, 8.
