PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To favorably display matters on sewing data when inputting the setting of the sewing data. SOLUTION: A display area 23 of an operation panel 20 displays an overlapping point P<SB>2</SB>where a plurality of seams are overlapped and a needle location point P<SB>1</SB>where no seams are overlapped in different display modes so as to easily identify the overlapping of the seams. This display device is so constituted as to enable determination of whether the both distance is closer than a prescribed distance or not, when comparing two adjacent needle location points P<SB>1</SB>, and change a range to be regarded as the overlapping point P<SB>2</SB>. This constitution enables freely changing of the distance between the two needle location points P<SB>1</SB>to be regarded as the overlapped point P<SB>2</SB>according to the thicknesses of the needle and the thread so as to approach the sewing image on the operation panel 20 to the actual one.
