PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter capable of executing a speedy counting process without keeping a customer waiting. SOLUTION: The counter C is disposed between pachinko machines for counting the number of pachinko balls used in the pachinko machines. The counter C comprises a slot for receiving pachinko balls, a counting part for counting pachinko balls loaded into the slot, a hopper storage part for storing a hopper 10 with a slot, and a hopper drawing button 11 for drawing the hopper 10 out of the hopper storage part. The hopper 10 has a telescopic part 30 with a side panel facing the direction of drawing composed of first to third slide parts 31-33. At least part of the side frame of the first to third slide parts 31-33 is slid at a prescribed angle of rotation to the direction orthogonally crossing the direction of drawing of the hopper 10 with one end of the telescopic part 30 as the center of rotation axis to expand the slot.
