<p>This invention provides a metallic gasket comprising a thin metal plate in a three-dimensional form having an inclined surface and a seal part of a cured rubber layer provided, on the surface of the bead part, astride the upper part and the lower part with the inclined surface being located between the cured rubber layer provided in the upper part and the cured layer provided in the lower part. In the production of the metallic gasket, the seal part extended from the top of the bead part to a part near the upper part of the inclined surface and the seal part extended from a part near the lower part of the inclined surface to the flat part in the lower part are connected to each other by a liquid rubber material spread from both seal parts along the inclined surface, before drying and curing of the material for the formation of both the seal parts. The liquid rubber material is preferably coated by screen printing. The rubber part formed by silk screen printing can contribute to the realization of even thickness after drying and curing.</p>
